London Calling

Image
A few weeks ago, one of my best friend's got married. This wedding led me to London, and so I kind of made an extensive holiday of it. Three weeks to be exact. In London (with a pop up to Liverpool and Manchester), Paris, and Hamburg. It was delightful. And now that I'm well recovered from my jet-lag, I figure I'd used the next few posts to share some of the highlights (and lowlights) of the trip. Highlight #1: The Wedding Itself I've been to a lot of weddings over the last few years. I feel like there's been at least 5 a year since I turned 21. And while most of them have been family friends and/or "relatives," only recently have my actual close friends been the one tying the knot. Ugo and I have been best friends since I was about 13 Granted I met him when I was 8... but I refused to be his friend due to some childish reasons. I'm glad I got over it. Cause even though we've been an ocean apart, he has probably been one of the biggest const...

Sweet Love

Image
Goodness, I love weddings! Over Memorial Day Weekend, I went to my fourth (or is it fifth) this year. It was a sweet, little event in San Antonio. Goregous weather, even with the blazing heat. The breeze was just enough to keep you cool. My favorite part was when the bride began walking down the aisle. The groom instantly got teary-eyed. The bride keep craning her neck over the guest to catch a glimpse of her love. You knew the moment their eyes met--her face broke out into a bright smile. And as they drew closer together, she mouths, "I love you." The whole ceremony was like a glimpse into their intimate world. As they held hands, shared secret smiles, whispered sweet nothings to each other, said their vows. If there were pictures in the dictonary, all this would have been captured by the word "love." I know the groom better than the bride, and I know how long he prayed and waited on God to bring him his Eve. And from the short time I've been bless...

Meredith + Taylor

Image
Tonight, my friend Meredith White became Meredith Clark. It was a beautiful wedding, and I took lots of pictures to prove it! It was a bit awkward at first, because I seemed to be the only one at the church who brought a camera with me. And during the reception people kept approaching me asking if I were a photographer (or one of the hired photographers). I wish I could have said, "Yes! I am!"  However, while I'm not a professional photographer, I think I took some pictures worthy of professional status. Here are a few--the rest will be uploaded to my Flickr Photostream . I love that I was able to capture the newlyweds still kissing, while their parents looked at each other adoringly. Groom's cake and Wedding cake This was just a fun picture! Gig 'em Aggies! WHOOP!
